So Your Web Site Visitor Converted To a Sale or Lead

Did you know that on average a visitor will remain on a thank you page, after he has completed a form, longer than he remained on most of the web pages he visited before he completed the form? Well you might think, "What does it matter? He just did what i intended, he either just made a purchase or he has become a lead." However, there is really so much more that you could offer him.

We all know how hard we work in order to make the flow just right in our website to increase conversions, so why not take advantage of the fact that we have the complete confidence of this visitor and why let him leave so soon? He has just made a purchase or made an inquiry and he is left high and dry with nothing more to do. His next natural move will probably be to return to what he was doing before he was looking for your product or service or he will continue surfing the Internet.

5 ideas of items you could add to your thank you page in order to keep your visitor around a little longer and make him feel that his visit to your website was really enjoyable, rewarding and memorable:

1. RSS feeds

You may or may not have requested permission from the visitor on the form he just completed to send him newsletters, campaigns and product updates however these will probably be sent to him by email. We are all aware of the huge amount of promotional emails we receive on a daily basis and I assume that you are all similar to me as sometimes I have more patience than other to read these promotions before I trash them, so why not offer your user an RSS feed. That way even if he opted-out from your promotional email, deletes them when they arrive, or files them away in a “Must Read” folder that is never read, you can still reach this visitor on a regular basis.

2. Newsletter subscription

You may or may not have requested an opt-in to your newsletter on the form, however, even if you did perhaps your company has a variety of newsletters for different products, services or interests then you could offer a form for him to subscribe to additional newsletters.

Paid Search-Engine Advertising

This mainly concerns Google Adwords. This is Googles paid advertising system, where you can bid on keywords and your ad will show in the right-hand menu.

Many people have a lot of success using this system. As long as you can account for every penny spent along the way! You must work out, for example, how many ads you will get shown for x amount of dollars, how many of those ads will get clicked on, and how many of those go on to purchase your product.

These figures are very important, for without them you will end up throwing money down the drain. Luckily, Adwords is the best place to get instant results, and to try out new ideas.

It works by you building up a list of keywords and entering how much you are willing to bid on each keyword. If you bid the most, your ad is shown first. Otherwise it will appear in a lower position or even on the second page. It depends on your competition for those keywords.

Once you have your keywords - you can start by using the same ones you use for SEO (step 2) you need to see how many people actually search using that term. If, for example, there are 4,000 searches a month for "Fly Fishing" it may be worth you bidding on that keyword. But if it is going to cost you $2 per click, perhaps you'd think twice.

This kind of mathematical balancing is prevalent in making a success of Adwords. To get back to our example, what if 50% of those people who cost you $2 a click go on to make you $50 down the road? Is it worth the cost, then?

Sometimes, you will get lucky. You'll find a niche with very little competition, and therefore a low cost per click. You can easily make a success this way as long as your website goes on to convert that visitor to a buyer. And even if they don't buy, you are just aiming to get a subscriber, perhaps your lifetime value of a subscriber is going to be $50+. Worth thinking about!

Search Engines Traffic Tips Part 2

The Search Engines, and almost by default that means Google (though it is also worth targeting others) are the best source of traffic you can get. People will come to a search engine too look for a specific site, or subject. That means that people who arrive at your site are there for a purpose, to it's targeted traffic. There are millions of sites in the world wide web, so how do you get yours to the front of the queue? Most people will only look through the results on the first page or two.You have to understand how Google ranks your site. First, it looks at the content, for keywords, as well as special "meta" parts of your webpage such as it's title and URL. Then it will use it's own proprietary ranking method known as Page Rank.Page Rank counts the number of links coming to your site from other sites. The theory is this means your site is more respected, and more useful, than others. It also puts an emphasis on older sites - therefore links from sites that themselves have a high pagerank and age will effect yours more beneficially. There are two main theories of getting good Search Engine rankings. One states that just by being the best you can, adding content literally every day, making your site easy to navigate and easy to use will naturally result in a good ranking. The cream rises to the top.Another says you can actively influence the results. By seeking out sites to link to yours, by adding content that specifically includes keywords you wish to be ranked for, and by ensuring each of your pages are listed. So here's what's important: Find out what Keywords you wished to be ranked for. You can use Google's Keyword Tool for this. So, if for example you have a fishing site, perhaps terms such as "Carp Fishing", "Boat Fishing", "Fishing Rods", "Fishing Tackle" etc can be focused on. You can also look at competing sites and see what keywords they are targeting. Create pages for each of the terms you have listed. Have the content on those pages include the specific terms a number of times - but don't over do it. And ensure the page URL, Title and Meta Keywords sections include those terms. Make sure the page links to a few of your other pages. Get links to your main site, and your sub pages. This can be done by signing up to directories, commenting on other blogs, writing articles, asking other site owners to link to you, or just by writing great content that people are happy to link to. In general, one-way links are best - that is where other sites link to you but you don't link to them. Also, anchor-text can influence the link, so the word "Fly Fishing" linking to your page on that subject is better than just a raw link with your URL. That is essentially SEO in a nutshell. There is an entire industry around the subject, and there are many other tips and tweaks you can use that mostly cover other methods to get links. But in all seriousness you are generally at Googles whim, as if they change their page rank algorithm overnight (which they do) all your hard work could be lost. So content is the best strategy. You'll even find yourself ranking for very specific search terms (known as The Long Tail) that you didn't really aim for. And the easiest way to create good, search engine friendly content? Use a Blog! blogger is especially easy to install. One last point. Although Google *should* index every page of a well linked site, by submitting a SiteMap you can ensure all your pages are listed. Use FreeTrafficSystem to build one-way backlinks to your site. Write articles for more backlinks and traffic.

Pay Per Click (PPC) Traffic Generation Tips

Pay per click or PPC marketing is a way for both the advertiser and the website owner to benefit. To truly get the most out of PPC marketing, it’s a good idea to become both the advertiser and the advertisee. What we mean is, create ad copy using PPC, but also offer PPC on your website so other relevant ads can pop up on your site. This will bring in an additional income, especially if your website is generating a lot of traffic (which, after reading and applying these 110 tips, it most certainly will!)
PPC advertisements work with pay per click meaning, as the advertiser, you only pay if someone clicks on your ad. Essentially, you are only paying for prospects and not for every single surfer who stumbles upon your ad. This is a revolutionary way to advertise as you are literally only paying for those who actually stop by your online store.
PPC marketing works with keywords and keywords phrases. By following these tips below, you can discover how to generate traffic to both your site and your PPC ads and thus multiple your traffic and your return on investments (ROI).
Know the search engines- when PPC marketing, you need to deliver your PPC ads to the right places. The top five search engine sites are Google, Yahoo, Ask, MSN Search and AOL. Make sure you target all five of these. Many people use just Google, which is great as Google does control more than 50% of all searched material; however, what about the other 50%?
Understand keyword bidding- keyword bids will constantly change. You can either continue to check it out every day, or invest in bid-management software, which can watch the different bids so you remain on top. browse through 100s of tips RIGHT HERE

Blogging and Forums Traffic Generation Tips

Blogging has hit the World Wide Web with a bang. Every single person wants to put in their two cents, and can with a blog. Although blogs can be tedious and pretentious in certain instances, it is possible to use blogging as a way to gain traffic to your site. Just read on to find out how:
Make friends with other bloggers- ask other bloggers to review your website, in exchange for a link of course. Blogging is a community thing and the more you participate in this community, the more successful you will be at generating traffic.
Make use of Technorati- Technorati allows you to ‘claim’ your blog which can be great for social networking and gaining traffic.

Anytime you make a post (relevant to your website of course), add a link at the end. Many people will read the comments, the forums, and the discussions for additional information. If a link is included, they will click on it.
Write something controversial- there’s nothing like controversy to get the traffic flowing in. Write something controversial and then ask for comments, questions and concerns about what you have said. This will help to get the cyber conversation going and ensure traffic to your site.
Blog often- blogging is not necessarily a full time job; however, you should always set aside some time during the week to contribute to your blog. While some people blog two or three times a day, it’s Blog on and away from your site- there are several different ways to use blogging as a way to generate traffic. Many people choose to blog on a different website such as HubPages and then link to their website. This works. However, another good way is to include a Blog section on your website. People who are interested in your website content may subscribe to your blogs which means even more hits and traffic generation to your sites.

This may seem like an odd concept, but as soon as your brain gets used to it, the writing will flow naturally.

Link away- it is okay to link to other sites. In fact, it’s a good idea, especially if these sites are highly respected and informative. Sites with .edu and .gov are often the best because they represent a highly regarded source.
4.
Link to your heart’s content- Links do not have to just be certain words. You can also make title links and anything else you want .

Advantages of Newsletters as a Marketing Tool

Just as in the old days, trust builds relationships, and relationships build sales. Used properly, newsletters can help build business relationships based on trust. And the key word is trust.
Trust worthiness in content, subject lines, mailing lists, regularity, and ability for your readers to quickly subscribe and unsubscribe are all critical to your success. Given below are some of the key advantages of newsletters: Newsletters Demonstrate Value Newsletters deliver valuable information that solves the day-today problems of readers, helps them stay on top of industry trends, and saves time by distilling practical information such as real world best practices and industry advances from many sources. They help in building trust. As stated earlier, the most crucial benefit arising out of newsletters is building trust. Newsletters can very easily become
customers’ trusted information source on business problems. Trust helps you to position your company as a credible source, which in turn retains your customer base. Online business owners can portray themselves as a reliable source of information. Newsletters deliver accurate and timely information that is vital to the success of your customers and visitors’ business at regular
intervals over time. Newsletters serve as an attention getter. Valuable and relevant information can always prove to be a great attention getter. Most people dread junk emails. However, once you build a sense of trust amongst your potential customers, you can reinforce your value to your visitors with each newsletter issue.

Tips for Building Your Email Lists

A popular Internet battle cry states that “the money is in your list”. It’s true that you can make a lot of money by building a list of opt-in subscribers, establishing trust with those subscribers and sending those subscribers special offers promoting your products. But you must do it correctly. Here’s a few tips that will help you get the most bang for your buck out of your list-building activities: Collect Only Relevant Information While requesting a visitor to sign up, collect information that is relevant to your business. A recent study lamented that most of the
corporate probing was unnecessary, given that most companies never act on the information they extract from their customers. It is crucial that you know exactly what you intend to do with the information you’re going to collect. Moreover, you should also be able to prove to your visitors that information you would be collecting from them is actually vital for your business.
Don’t Make Your Customers Repeat Information Most customers don’t mind telling their banks the ages of their children if they think the bank will use the information to help them sort through the myriad of college savings plans or make them aware of estate planning issues. But nothing irritates customers more than having to repeat the same information to each channel as if it’s the first time they've ever heard the information. This is especially true in the case of email lists on websites. Focus Your List We’ve discussed the importance of focusing or targeting customers earlier as well. Current customers are the most important email addresses to collect, much more so than prospects. They’ll be more receptive to your communications and likely to respond, since they’re familiar with your company and its products. Don’t waste your
time running campaigns that attract a high number of visitors who have no interest in your products or services.

Email Marketing Tactics

All right, so you’ve got the addresses. Now what are you going to do with them? Obviously, what you’re going to do is send your users marketing messages via email so that they’ll know all about the great products and services you offer. There are two ways you can do that: you can send them a newsletter every couple of weeks or so; or you can send them a sales letter. Newsletters are very important for building trust with your subscribers and warming them up to your sales offers. In the next chapter, I’ll discuss newsletters in detail. In the rest of this chapter, I’m going to explain how to write simple sales material that gets results. I’ll do that by concentrating on the two most important parts of any sales material: the headline and the call to action. Get those two right, and any piece of marketing material you produce — online or off — will get the results you want.
1 Writing Headlines That Grab Your Customers and Sell Your Goods!
Headlines are absolutely vital for all your marketing efforts. Whether you plan to use them on your website, your emails, your newsletters or anywhere else, they’re the hook that grabs your readers, reels them in and turns them into customers. There are dozens of different kinds of headlines that you can use and some of them are better than others. Below are the type of headlines that I use, and that I’ve found to be the most effective. The No-Nonsense Headline
The first type of headline you can use is the simplest. No frills, no tricks, no hooks, just a straightforward description of the contents of your message. Your headline could be something like:
Tips to Save Money on Your Weekly Shopping
The Best Way to Choose Your Next Car
Real Estate Agents That Sell Properties Fast
Notice that you can still use explanations and powerful adjectives to get your point across, but these headlines do little more than tell the reader what to expect. The advantages of these headlines is that they’re easy to write and easy to read. You don’t have to try to come up with some hard hitting sales message and customers aren’t put off by a document that looks like a piece of promotional material. On the other hand, they are a bit weak and that makes them hard to turn into cash. You can use no-nonsense headlines when you don’t need to work hard to make the sale. If you’re sending information that you know your customer will read, either because it’s free or they’ve specifically requested it, these are the kind of headlines to use.

Building Traffic with a blog and turn into cash.

One you have a site up and running it becomes very important to get some solid traffic to it. No traffic means no sales, customers... no business, really. Depending on your kind of business, this can be quite difficult. If you're selling things that other people are selling it can be very hard to get your pages ranked. This is especially true if you're just using standard descriptions rather than creating your own, or if you have a company generated webpage that gives you no control over these things. One of the simplest ways to handle this is to start a blog. If you have your own domain, I strongly recommend getting the free Wordpress software (one click install on most hosts) and using that. But if you don't have a way to put a blog on your site, there are many free options. Blogger is quite popular, partially because it is from Google, and people feel it may get spidered more often, but also because they don't mind you advertising on it. Some other free blogs do not want you using their sites for commercial purposes of any kind. The danger to any free blog is that it can be deleted at any time, with little or no notice. But so long as you follow the rules this will only rarely be a problem. Hosting your own is far safer. On your blog, you want to write posts and articles that will bring people to your blog and get them interested in your products. It is not so easy as writing blatant ads, which most people won't read. You want to write articles that will make people want to use what you have to offer.
Free tips relevant to the products are generally a very good idea. They can be fun to write, and if you get creative and think of unusual uses, you can get people who might not have purchased your products to try them. Most blog posts are fairly short. You don't have to write a novel. Sometimes even just a few sentences will do... just so long as those sentences have something interesting to say. One of the most important things about blogging to promote your business is to make sure that you post regularly. Weekly is a bare minimum,

E-Mail traffic Type:

Take note of this statistic: it can cost you triple (or more) to attract a new customer than it costs you to retain an existing one. This is why businesses build lists in the first place. It's a proven fact that repeat sales will make up the bulk of your profits. It's also proven that the average prospects needs to see your message somewhere between 7 to 11 times before deciding to buy. You must get your visitor's email address when he visits your site, so you can follow up with him.
Otherwise, he's probably gone for good. Email remains the number one method of communication between subscriber and merchant because it is versatile, it is cheap and it is ridiculously simple to use. When you own your own opt-in list, you can promote your business in
whatever way works best – whether it's through a special offer, an email course, or a steady flow of quality news. It's up to you. The point I really want you to get, though, is that you can not reach through your screen and compel that lost visitor to come back to your site. You can compel your subscribers to make repeat visits and repeat purchase by reaching out through e-mail.
In order to squeeze the most out of your list, you need a good autoresponder system – one which allows you to track open rates and click through, and to split test your mailings (e.g., one version of copy goes to 100 members, the second version goes to another 100 members).
Once you've run tests on a batch of copy through your list, you've got another valuable promotional tool at your disposal: ready-made, pre-optimized copy to funnel to all new subscribers. Considering the low overhead cost of both third-party (remotely hosted)
autoresponder solutions and flat fee autoresponder scripts, this is dirt cheap traffic, testing and tracking all rolled up into one. Armed with this data, you can roll out your promotions with confidence because you've zeroed in on the exact mix of copy and call to action that gets
the most sales. If you aren't running your own e-mail list yet, you're leaving embarrassing
amounts of money on the table. It's not just the conversion data you get from email that's valuable. It's the lifeline between you and people with open pocketbooks. Think about it. Outside of email, what else is available to you for serious product promotion? Articles, perhaps – but you're still at a loss when the visitor leaves your site. There are lots of great tactics out there for traffic generation, and advertising for URL and brand awareness. But do any of those outlets offer you unlimited space for preselling, setting up your pitch, making your offer? Certainly not Adwords. There's not enough space. Plenty of space on your website but, again, what can you do if your prospect's browser crashes or she has to answer the phone and forgets about your site?
Nothing. So heed these final words: unless you've got Amazon-sized traffic coming to your site, you pretty much have to have a list of potential prospects in order to survive. Oh, and by the way, even Amazon collects email addresses.

Steps for a Successful Newsletter Traffic

Marketing your business with newsletters is probably one of the most effective online marketing strategies. However, the whole process of devising and implementing a newsletter campaign involves a considerable amount of planning. Given below are a few guidelines that will help you make your campaign a success:
Step 1: Determine what you can sell online, or how to monetize your site.
Step 2: People use the Internet for information. Try to figure out what information is unique to your business? Everybody is an expert in his or her chosen field. This information is valuable to others.
Step 3: Identify your target audience. Define your audience, and then find out where they are going online for information. E.g. which sites, newsgroups and discussions boards are the most popular. This technique alone will greatly build your traffic as well as your name. You’d be amazed at how many businesses still define their audience as "all people" or "EVERYONE needs my product". This is absolutely not true! Contrary to popular business myth, the Internet is not a mainstream medium. Communities are usually quite passionate about their interests. Find your community and become an authority to them.
Step 4: Create content. By providing quality content, you can build a successful business online. Content works in becoming your company’s USP (Unique Selling Proposition). The quality of the content you provide will mean the difference between your site being a significant online business or just a “brochure site”.
Step 5: Create and maintain your mailing list.

Step 6: Produce your newsletter. Email newsletters are great because you can include “hot links” that will open a web page. Make sure you include the http:// because this is what most email software requires in order to understand text to be a live Internet address, make it clickable, and open the page in an Internet browser.
Step 7: Make sure you have autoresponders in place to field often-asked questions, and to subscribe and unsubscribe your recipients automatically. You will always lose a few but
don’t take it personally. Make it easy for people to unsubscribe from your mailing list.
Step 8: Never SPAM. Spamming is the practice of sending information to people who didn’t actually ask for it. It has been an accepted practice in the offline direct marketing world but not online. Don’t even try it. You could find yourself switched off by your internet service provider or having other serious actions taken against you. How To Skyrocket Your Traffic With Articles Writing :

If you aren't producing and distributing your own branded re-print articles right now, what are you waiting for? Articles meet a number of important business objectives, and they do it for free.
The concept of using articles is similar to that of creating a free product. The main difference is that you're not giving away a pre-built product. Rather, you're creating a free information source through an article on a particular subject that should directly relate to the content found within your site. The beauty part of using articles is that you can generate and submit as many of them as you can to as many different article directories as you can find that offer free submission.
A well-written article earns you major credibility points. It enhances your expertise in the eyes of potential customers. Articles give you a chance to shine and really show off the fact that you know your stuff. Articles are also super traffic building tools. Each article that you write and
distribute, while granting others the right to re-print it, has a viral effect on your traffic. Your reach is expanded into corners of the web you may never have discovered on your own.
Articles have a cumulative effect on your link popularity, and on the number of
keywords that pull up your site in the search engine listings. If you can't write a complete sentence to save your life, or if you're simply too busy to write, don't worry. You can hire a ghostwriter to produce your content on the cheap. There are plenty of hungry freelancers to be found at places like Elance (http://www.elance.com). You can also get a FREE copy of Ghostwriter's Inside & Out that explains in great detail the who's, what's, when's, why's, and how's of hiring a ghostwriter. Beyond that, you can use private label articles and content to make the process even easier. A word of caution though, some article directories are now putting actions in place that will stop duplicate article submissions, which is a bad thing for private label articles. Although, it doesn't have to be. You could do some minimal changes to them
and have a some what different article. My advice, make some major changes to the articles before you even think about submitting them. And by major I mean adding to them, rearranging the information in them, combining a couple of articles on the same subject matter, or even removing some of the content. The best way to be sure your private label article, if you decide to make use of them, is to add more content to them that is relevant to the overall article itself. Understand that the private label articles will require a bit of work on your part to turn them into original works. Take this small snippet of text as an example of a private label article: “The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog.” Seems fine, but what if you have 35 people submitting the exact same thing into the exact same article directory? Then you have a problem. To be sure that your articles are going to be accepted within each article directory, you
will need to make some changes to the bulk of the articles. Like this: The sly tan fox hurriedly leaped over the sleeping dog.” See, not that difficult, right? The story being conveyed in both of the above examples is the same. It is the way in which it is conveyed that makes them different. You want to make your article as different as you possibly can using your own style of writing so that acceptance into the article directories is ensured. In fact, you could even add more to the article itself to really make it stand apart. Maybe you have a different angle of looking at things than the original author did. Put it to use and put it in the article! Be sure though that if you're adding more to an already written article that you keep the natural flow going. Place your additions in the appropriate places

Show Me The Money And Not The Ranking

With PPC’s, the name of the game is profit. You need to be careful not to get carried away with the ranking so that your promotion doesn’t cut into your revenues. This is essential! There’s no point in being top if you’re out of business in a month. You have to figure out what you can afford and keep to it. Base your decision on your visitor-to-sales-ratio (the number of visitors on average that it takes to generate a sale) and your net profit per sale. So for example, if you get a sale from every tenth visitor, and you net a profit of $20 from each sale, then you can’t pay more than $2 for each click without operating at a loss (unless you have an effective back-end sales campaign setup as discussed earlier). In practice, you might make one sale for every 100 or so clicks and pay perhaps 15 or 20 cents for each visitor, depending on your market.
It’s absolutely crucial for you to know your visitor-to-sales sales-ratio. It’s also important to keep that ratio as high as possible, and that means only bidding on relevant keywords. If you pay for visitors who are looking for something completely different than the services you’re
offering, you’re just throwing your money away. They aren’t going to buy, and even at five cents a shot, those wasted nickels soon add up. On the other hand, because you can pay so little, it is worth bidding on as many relevant keywords as possible. The key is to balance high payments for top keywords with low payments that bring in less traffic. You should also consider the quality of visitors the site will send you. The more targeted a directory, the better your visitor to sale ratio will be and that might make it worth increasing your bid price.

Top 10 Search Engines and how it works

I’ve studied how search engines work. An integral part of any Internet marketing or search engine optimization campaign is to know exactly which search engines to target. This section discusses some of the top search engines today.
Google
Google has increased in popularity tenfold the past several years. They went from beta testing to becoming the Internet's largest index of web pages in a very short time. Their spider, affectionately named
"Googlebot", crawls the web and provides updates to Google's index about once a month.
Google.com began as an academic search engine. Google, by far, has a very good algorithm of ranking pages returned from a result, probably one of the main reasons it has become so popular over the years. Google has several methods which determine page rank in returned searches.
Yahoo!
Yahoo! is one of the oldest web directories and portals on the Internet today, and the site went live in August of 1994. Yahoo! is also one of the largest traffic generators around, as far
as web directories and search engines go. Unfortunately, however, it is also one of the most difficult to get listed in, unless of course you pay to submit your site. Even if you pay it doesn't guarantee you will get listed.
Either way, if you suggest a URL, it is "reviewed" by a Yahoo! editor and, if approved, it will appear in the next index update.
We just give two of the 10 today we continued follow us on this topic

The Importants of Search Engines Works

Internet search engines are special sites on the Internet that are designed to help people find information stored on other sites. There are differences in the ways various search engines work, but they all perform three basic tasks:
They search the Internet -- or select pieces of the Internet based on important words.
They keep an index of the words they find, and where they
find them. They allow users to look for words or combinations of words
found in that index.
Early search engines held an index of a few hundred thousand pages and documents, and received maybe one or two thousand inquiries each day. Today, a top search engine will index hundreds of
millions of pages, and respond to tens of millions of queries per day.
Spidering
Before a search engine can tell you where a file or document is, it must be found. To find information on the hundreds of millions of web pages that exist, a search engine employs special software robots, called spiders, to build lists of the words found on websites.
When a spider is building its lists, the process is called crawling. In order to build and maintain a useful list of words, a search engine's spiders have to look at a lot of pages. How does any spider
start its travels over the web? The usual starting points are lists of heavily used servers and very popular pages. The spider will begin with a popular site, indexing the words on its pages and following every link found within the site. In this way, the spidering system
quickly begins to travel, spreading out across the most widely used portions of the web.
We have a lots of search engines for you ,check the top bar and summit your site or blog.

Using Expired Domains to Skyrocket Your Traffic

Domain names provide a great opportunity to make easy money.
I’m not talking about Internet real estate, where you buy up good
names and sell them on for a profit. If you didn’t get positioned in that
market early on, you can forget about it. The bottom’s fallen out of the
market and the best domains are long gone.
I’m talking about expiring domains.
Thousands of webmasters invest time, effort and money to
promote their site and build up traffic. Many of them then lose interest
and move on, leaving their site active. That means that although they
still own the domain, they’re not actively promoting it. But they don’t
need to. All the automatic marketing systems they’ve put in place are
still bringing in traffic. The site runs itself.
Now, at some point the ownership of those domains is going to
expire. If you snap up those domains once they come back onto the
market, you’ve got a pre-built stream of customers. You can either
rebuild the site, or redirect the traffic to your domain.
It’s that easy. In fact, websites like DeletedDomains.com
actually do all the legwork and let you reap all the rewards.
Do be careful when using other sites though. There are some
swindlers out there that will sell you subscriptions, provide you with
outdated lists, take your money and keep the good domains for
themselves. It happens, and there’s little point in taking a risk with
other companies when DeletedDomains.com does such a great job.

Affiliates Traffic Type:

Affiliate programs (also known as referral programs or partnership
programs) provide a flood of traffic to your site for next to nothing.
When you implement an affiliate program on your site, you establish a 'pay for
performance' relationship with those who sign up as your affiliate. The affiliate
runs his or her own separate marketing campaign in order to advertise his
unique affiliate url which tracks the visitors he sends to your site.
If a visitor makes a purchase, the affiliate is credited for the sale and receives
a commission (a percentage of the sale).
You can see the power of this method immediately when you recognize that
your affiliates essentially provide you with free advertising. You only pay when
a sale is made. True, you do pay out a portion of your profits – but what you
make back is far more than what you're spending.
Why? Because affiliates increase your site's visibility.
Even long after you've moved on to another project, another site...all of those
affiliate links pointing to your site are still 'out there', spread across the web in
articles, emails, e-books and affiliate web pages.
Broad exposure such as this brings you a steady stream of traffic and sales
for months to come.
Think of it this way: you can sell 1,000 copies of a $79 product and keep the
profits to yourself to the tune of $79,000 or you can enlist an army of affiliates
who sell 3,000 copies of the same product for a 50% ($39.50) commission,
and you net $118,500!
Setting up an affiliate program is not difficult. One of the easiest places to do it
is over at Clickbank.com. Clickbank has an affiliate system built in and ready
to go the moment your product is approved for sale.
Also, an added benefit of Clickbank is the “marketplace directory” model
employed on site. All products sold through Clickbank appear in the
marketplace organized by category. Active affiliate marketers know this and
seek out new merchants in the marketplace on a regular basis.

Google Groups Traffic Type:

(note: see Yahoo! Groups)
At this time of writing, Yahoo finally receives some competition to Yahoo
groups.
It all began when Google announced their plans to index and archive all of
Usenet (the original newsgroup system of the Internet), and make it available
for web-based browsing.
Google didn't stop there, though. The past year brought even more changes
as Google set out to remake itself into a search portal, adding on the free
Gmail service and its own set of user-created newsgroups.
Google Groups (http://groups-beta.google.com) share some features in
common with Yahoo Groups, but the service also differs in a few key ways:
· Users can create invite-only, private groups which are not listed in the
Groups directory and will not be indexed into regular search results.
· Google Groups' interface is sparse compared to Yahoo. Currently there is
no way to.
· A group search pulls in both Google-user created groups as well as Usenet
newsgroups (eg, alt.ebay).
Rest assured, though, you can still build your own virtual newsletter via
Google Groups, and use the same list-building and niche research tactics as
outlined in the Yahoo Groups section of this report.
In fact, one of the benefits Google plays up on its main groups page is the
ability to center discussions around niche topics.
How is this different from Yahoo or any other service employing topic
directories for classification? It's not.
I suspect Google is just overstating the case here to encourage 'Joe Surfer' to
put some thought into where he lists his new Google Group.
The real benefits of Google Groups, in my opinion, are as follows· The service is new. You have a window of opportunity to jump in now and
create a very visible, high-traffic group before things get too cluttered.
· High traffic. The potential is there. You need to patient. You need to recruit
members to your group. Average web surfers haven't fully adopted Google
Groups as their number one choice yet.
· Potential indexing opportunities – both in regular Google listings as well as
the main Google Directory.
· Very useful media integration tools likely coming some point in the future. I
can't see any reason why Google wouldn't implement some type of crosslinking
between its groups and other tools like Picasa – or surprise us all
with a 'killer app'.
Final Verdict:
Google Groups is worth pursuing now as both a traffic tool and niche research
tool. Lots of potential. Not quite ready to clobber Yahoo Groups though. I'd
recommend using both, even if it means you create duplicate groups.
Definitely split-test between the two for performance data. As far as I know, no
one has done this yet (there's a nice little niche report idea there for you, by
the way).

Getting Traffic To Your Website

Setting up your online business presence is a major accomplishment. However, it is only the beginning. Contrary to popular opinion, people will not come just because you built it. Part of the reason for that set of circumstances is that no one is likely to visit a web site that they do not know exists.

So, after you have put together the most spectacular, intuitive, and fun to browse web site, the time has come to get busy and find ways to generate the traffic to your little corner of the Internet.

The good news is that there are many options when it comes to the task of driving traffic to your site. While many of the strategies involve online methods, there are also some offline effective procedures that will also lead to more hits and thus increase the chances of making a sale.

Here are some tips on creating a comprehensive battle plan to publicize your site and generate interest that will result in making your online presence a successful venture.

1.Pay Per Click Advertising

One of the easiest methods to employ in your plan to drive traffic to your site is pay per click advertising. This particular advertising model has been around since the late 1990’s and has been a means of generating hits for many different businesses with an online presence.

Pay per click advertising is an excellent way to get the word about your company to a wide audience. The process involves spotting an ad on various web sites that will forward an interested party back to your web site.

Part of the attraction of pay per click advertising is that the ad owner only pays when someone clicks on the ad and actually follows through to the web site.

When it comes to PPC advertising, never forget the importance of keywords. Essentially, keywords are words and phrases that are considered to be common modes of searching the Internet to find desired content.

As an advertiser, your job is to come up with keywords that you believe are likely to take you to web sites that are relevant to the type of business site you currently operate. The rationale is that persons who visit those sites would most likely be interested in the content of your site.

If you manage to find the right web sites for your ads, then the chances of generating clicks to your site are much greater.

While the keyword mode of pay per click advertising is very common, there is also a second method. Known as content match PPC, the principle is still the same.

The main difference is that rather than basing the search on keywords, the results are based on the content of the site. As an example, if you run a site that is dedicated to gardening supplies, then it would be a natural for you to want to place ads on sites dedicated to gardening.

Content matching can be used right along with keywords to create a well rounded pay per click component in your overall publicity campaign.

Finding online resources to help you with the process of placing pay per click ads is relatively easy. One of the most popular approaches is to make use of the Google Adwords program. You can get started by identifying a list of relevant keywords. You can also get help in designing the appearance of your ad, using online tools.

Adwords also includes a number of online tools, so you can keep track of how many hits get to your web site through those hits. This allows you to stay on top of how much pay per click is advertising is costing you each month. By comparing the sales that result from the hits with the cost of your pay per click campaign, you can determine if the program is making money for you.

Another target for your pay per click campaign is online comparison shopping engines. These types of engines often are willing to provide feeds through the placement of ads on their searches.

Just as with the ads on informational web sites, persons can click through to your web site and see what you have to offer. Some of these sites provide you with the ability to see the number of hits, while others do not. Payment for placing the ad on the shopping comparison site may be in the form of a fixed monthly amount or based on a fixed rate per click.

Keep in mind that there is no such thing as exclusionary pay per click arrangement. This means you can sign up with as many keyword and shopping ad services as you like. In fact, you may do very well to try out several different services, to see which ones seem to provide you with the best matches and coverage.

If funds for advertising are limited, go with a well known service, and then add more services as your revenue stream builds to the point you can afford to do so. Remember that your goal is to build a solid foundation for your web site, so it may take some time before you begin to see results.

Disregard stories about overnight success. Chances are you will go about six months to a year before you see significant traffic that results in sales.

Pay per click advertising is often an affordable way to launch your advertising campaign. The cost per click is often a fraction of a cent, so it certainly will not cost a great deal, unless you happen to get a huge number of visitors clicking through to your site.

The law of averages would dictate that of that huge number, enough sales would result to make your investment in the pay per click program well worth your time and the expense.

Free For All: Why You Should Avoid Them

FFAs are basically wed pages where anyone can submit the URL for his website for free (hence the term Free For All). The web is home to thousands upon thousands of FFA pages.
FFAs may sound like a great way to gets lots of free traffic to your site or blog, but you should avoid these pages at all cost.
Why? Several reasons
1. They are almost useless as a source of traffic .Very few people search for a topic on the web will use an FFA page. Instead they will use a search engine or directory.
Think about it for a moment .Where do you go when you want to find something on the web? If you’re like most web surfers, you use Google, Yahoo, MSN search, AOL search, etc.
FFA pages are usually just a long list of unrelated and unorganized URL which makes finding what you’re looking for virtually impossible.
2. Most FFA pages require you to register with your email address before you are allowed to add your link .The owner of the pages then will use email address that you register with in order to send you loads of spam.
Even worse, they will often sell your email address to other spammers. If you choose to use FFA pages, prepare to receive a never-ending flood of SPAM in your email inbox.
3. Using FFAs can lead to your site being banned from Google’s search engine index. Many FFA pages require a reciprocal link from your site to theirs before allowing you to place your link.
Google considers most FFA pages to be link farms, and we have already learned what Google thinks of link farms!

Giving people great content made their lives better.

Are you starting to connect the dots with all of this?
It’s the same thing with publishing great content to an email list. It
grows and builds a great relationship with your prospects. Their lives
aren’t going to be better if you just keep mailing them pitches and
promos for them to buy. You need to be sending them killer content.
Killer content will have them buy from you and respond more often
when you make affiliate recommendations or try to sell more of your
own products and services.
As the Internet continues to evolve it’s going to naturally “shake out” all
the lame, weak content businesses online. The users of the Internet
aren’t using the Internet to find weak content, therefore, it has a
powerful effect on Internet Marketing – from the search engines on
down to the individual web page.
So get it through your head! The better your content, the more you
‘give’ to your market, the more they will give back to you.
The better your content is in any given market, the higher your traffic
will be. Even if you are brand new to a certain market, if you create
better content than all of your competitors that market will eventually
discover it. And you will benefit from it greatly.
Your site will get linked to and talked about on blogs. Others will
recommend you to friends and family. Other ‘players’ will want to do
business with you. Etc. It’s truly a chain reaction that generates more
income for you.

Branding Traffic Type.

Branding is all about raising awareness of your name and product in the
online marketplace. You should strive to make branding one of your daily,
business-related 'habits'.
How to brand?
Ensure your name and URL are on every piece of media you send out.
This includes: all email correspondence, all site and product graphics, all
bylines of articles and testimonials you've written. Essentially anything else
that has room on it for your name and website address.
Not only these, but also through the creation of viral products. A product that
is considered “viral” is one that is not only spread throughout the internet
among those interested in what you are offering, but it also incorporates the
“brand” technique as a standard flat across the board.
Additionally, you might consider coming up with a unique slogan or purpose
statement to add under your site logo, in your emails and on business cards.
Why brand? Familiarity breeds trust. When people are exposed to your name
time and again in reference to a subject, they begin to view you as someone
of importance and expertise.
Your prospect might see your name in an article byline a dozen times before
winding up on your website. Perhaps they've clicked on a Google ad for a
product they didn't even know you offered. What happens when they get to
your page? They say “oh, yeah, this guy. I think I read a couple of his articles
last week.”
This is a good thing. Your branding has paid off by greasing this prospect's
wheels in advance, and you've already won a significant portion of the battle
for conversion. So, be mindful of branding in everything you do. It should play
a large part in your marketing strategy, and really isn't optional.
